These cookies are sticky, chewy, and they make a big deal or lunchbox addition. Add some nuts if you like. You might want to adjust the ingredients and you should always give it a try it's not too painful. Try some recipes on my site the link at the bottom of them.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 / 2 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 / 4 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces butter (2 sticks) softened
- 1 cup lightfirmly packed brown sugar
- 2 / 3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 g finely chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Method
Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. The eggs, one at a time beating after each addition. Mix in the vanilla.
At low speed, beat flour mixture a little at a time until well combined and smooth. Stir in chopped walnuts.
Chocolate drop cookie dough onto greased baking sheets by rounded tablespoons, at a distance of about 2 inches. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until set. If desired, spread with a little granulated sugar until they are hot. Cool pans on rack for about 5 minutes; Transfer chocolate cookies to rack to cool completely. Makes about 4 to 5 dozen chocolate cookies.
