Turtle Shortbread Cookie Recipe

The turtle shortbread cookie recipe a is kicked-up version of an old holiday favorite! Throw in little chocolate, caramel and pecans, and some of you have a cookie that tastes so good as it looks!

Ingredients

3-sticks (1 1 / 2 cups) salted butter, soft

1 / 2 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon almond extract

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 / 2 teaspoon salt

Topping:

24 caramels, unwrapped

1 cup (6Ounces) semisweet chocolate chips

2 teaspoons shortening

1 cup chopped pecans

72 pecan halves

Hardware

Large bowl

Small microwave safe bowl

1-liter pot

Baking trays

Waxed paper

Mixers

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

Step 2: In a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium speed cream together the butter and almonds, set to extract.

Step 3:Flour and salt. If dough is crumbly, mix in an additional 1-2 tablespoons soft butter.

Step 4: Place the dough in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.

Step 5: Divide dough into 12 equal parts. Roll each part into a 1/4-inch-thick circle. Cut each circle into 6 parts. Place wedges 1 inch apart and share ungreased baking sheet.

Chocolate Cookie Recipe

These cookies are sticky, chewy, and they make a big deal or lunchbox addition. Add some nuts if you like. You might want to adjust the ingredients and you should always give it a try it's not too painful. Try some recipes on my site the link at the bottom of them.

Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 / 2 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 / 4 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces butter (2 sticks) softened
- 1 cup lightfirmly packed brown sugar
- 2 / 3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 g finely chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Method

Sift together the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy. The eggs, one at a time beating after each addition. Mix in the vanilla.

At low speed, beat flour mixture a little at a time until well combined and smooth. Stir in chopped walnuts.

Chocolate drop cookie dough onto greased baking sheets by rounded tablespoons, at a distance of about 2 inches. Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until set. If desired, spread with a little granulated sugar until they are hot. Cool pans on rack for about 5 minutes; Transfer chocolate cookies to rack to cool completely. Makes about 4 to 5 dozen chocolate cookies.

Jello Pie Recipe: Classic Jello Pie

Here is the classic Jello pie recipe that makes a beautiful presentation for any occasion. You can just about any flavor of gelatin and fruit to create a rainbow of fruity goodness.

2 / 3 cup boiling water

1 package of Jell-O brand gelatin (any flavor)

1 / 2 cup cold water

1 / 2 cup ice cubes

2 containers Cool Whip

1 ready pie crust

Directions

Pour gelatin mixture into a large bowl. Bring water to a boil. Pour hot water over Gelatin until it is completely dissolved. In a separate bowl, mix the cubes cold water and ice to make a cup. Combine cold water with the gelatin mixture and stir until all the ice melts.

Beat Stir in a container of whipped cream and increase with a whisk until the mixture is nice and smooth. Refrigerator gelatin for 15 to 20 minutes or until gelatin thickens. Spoon the gelatin mixture into the pie shell.

Refrigerator cake for 4 hours or overnight.
